WESTERN MOVIES

My hobby is watch some movies. I love to watch western movies. Because when I was a child my mother always watched some western movies and I watched with her. My mother likes western movies too. So I received her influence and I became to like western movies. I would like to introduce about western movies apart from three parts. First, What is the western movies? Second, What kind of western movies. Third, My recommendation of western movies.

Western movies are the constitution modeled on that of the development of the West. People who have a dream or want to get rich quick or ambition. In the development of the West, a lot of ambition crossed.
By the way, do you know Akira Kurosawa? He is a great movie director in the world. He created some famous movies, such as Rasyoumon, Seven Samurai, and so on. His movies was high valued from the world and some movies are influenced by his movies. Also some western movies too.  For example, The Magnificent Seven based on Seven Samurai.

Western movies have two types. Classic western and spaghetti western. Both western movies have some characteristics. Classic movie was made in America and 1930 through 1960. It is action, poetical, break ground, and nature of America. Spaghetti western was made in Italy and 1960 through 1970. It is cruel, strong gunfight, dry style, and main character who haven’t sense of justice. But only Japanese call macaroni western because when A Fistful of Dollars came to Japan, Mr Yodogawa who was a famous reviewer in Japan created “macaroni western”.  The phrase of  “macaroni western” carried the connotation of  “This is thin content movie.” So at that time, Mr Yodogawa said jeeringly about western movies.

I have some recommendation western movies, so I introduce about some movies. First, The Magnificent Seven. This is classic western. I explain about it. A small village is stage. Village people suffered from thief. The thief deprive of crops from village every year. And people who have high technique gunman save the village. Second, For a Few Dollars More. There are two expert bounty hunters in the story. Sometimes, both hunters are rival, but sometimes, both are partner and they fight the head of gang. These movies are great western movies. Please try to watch.   

The western movie’s story plays out against the background of the development of the West. So If you watch western movies, you can feel background. I think If we feel background, we learn about history of at that time.

SDC member

I want to write about SDC. Because I’m member of SDC and it has a lot of activities,
I would like to introduce about SDC apart from three parts. First, what is the SDC? Second,
what are the SDC’s activities? Third, I think about SDC’s future.

Some TIU students know about it, but almost people don’t know. People who belong to the SDC are language communication students in TIU. SDC is meaning of Student Development Committee.   We  make some plans and hold a meeting many times. Occasionally, we plan to the some party. But mainly plan is contribute to the my university.

Presentation of Thesis

SDC has a lot of activities, such as Welcome party, Halloween party and Presentation of graduation thesis. Recently,  we start a new activity. We make some booklets. The title are SLC NEWS and JOB STAR. We publish the booklets twice a year and distribute to the students, teachers, and some staffs. My recommendation plan is Halloween party. Because Halloween party is foreign country’s event. Maybe Japanese people do not Halloween party. In the event, students who dress up something and we can enjoy some games, talking and feel different culture. One more, JSP students will come to the party. JSP student is come to Japan to study abroad.So if you come to the party, you can meet some JSP students and talk about something.

I want to try to another new plans. Some day, I hope to the SDC will be a representative university organization. Now, SDC is inhibited so I have some plans. I want to make photo section in the 2nd building lounge and I want to show  some photos, such as language communication students, events, class, teacher and so on. I think show photo is better introduction than sentences. People who don’t know about these things can know that and of course students can see and  enjoy it.

AV Library at TIU

TIU library is great place and there have AV library in the basement. I’m going to introduce about AV library. I used AV library many times. It is like a movie theater. I think there is the best relaxation room. 

In there, we can watch some movies alone or with friends or classes. Any times we can watch movie in there. Maybe we know the AV library. But we don’t know about details. In this article, I will research about how many DVDs in the AV library, how many students use the AV library, and what is the most popular DVD.

There are 4,500 or more DVDs in the AV library. But apart from DVDs, there are a lot of VHSs and CDs. There are a lot of kind of DVDs such as Japanese drama, an animation, American drama and American movies. Then if you can’t find DVDs, you can find DVDs by the PC and you can request some movies.

Finally, I introduce about my recommendation movies. 

The recommended are Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, The series of 007 and Lupin the Third.

I have question about a day of user. How many students use here ? I check about a day of user, but I can’t find it. Probably a lot of students use here because almost student like movie and they want to watch. In addition to that If you want to watch movie in the movie theater, you have to pay money or you have to buy DVD. But in the AV library, you can watch free. You don’t have to pay and buy. So many students use here. I sometimes go to AV library and I often see a lot of students. Therefore, I think many students use here.

The most popular DVD is the newest movie. In some women, they like love story and people who like series things, such as 24, Harry Potter, Pirates of Caribbean and the other many series dramas. If you watch another dramas or series, you can request and If you can’t find some movies, you can search by PC. By the way, when you go to AV library, and  if you are undecided which to choose, you can refer to recommendation list. The list inform about movie in season, newest movie and of course recommendation movie. So if you can’t choose, please check the list.

How was my introduction of AV library? AV library is comfortable place and you can relax. When you tire or you have free time or no classes, you can visit AV library.If you go to the AV library, please try to go there. Anyway, I think AV library is great place, don’t you?
